Zhang Yin

was born in Shanxi Province Tai Yuan County in January 1957. He is now member of Shanxi Artists Association, vice chairman of Shanxi (Gujiao) Artists Association, commissioned artist for Chinese Entrepreneur Collectors Association, etc. 

Born in a well-educated family, he is interested in arts and followed the drama teacher Mr Liu Guangyu to learn about performing arts in the 70s. After that, he commended himself to be the student of the oil painter Mr Li Sheng Rui. In the 80s, he was appointed to work in the culture museum and learnt about Chinese Painting. In the 90s, he quit the job and became a advertising and interior designer. In recent years, he moved away from the bustling city and has been living in the tranquil countryside so that he can focus on his studies on contemporary female painting. His works reveal and glorify the spirit of traditional Chinese culture.

In 1988, he held his first solo exhibition in Shanxi Tai Yuan. In November of 1991 he held another exhibition in Beijing Contemporary Art Museum. From then on he actively participated in various exhibitions and received many awards. His achievements have been broadcasted and published in important newspapers and TV media. His works are widely collected in local and overseas.
