Jiang was born in 1941 in Qiyang county, Hunan province. Currently he is a member of Chinese Artists’ Association.

He loved painting when he was a child. Since he was born in a poor family, he could not afford to attend any art institute. Fortunately he was able to learn and build up a strong foundation on basic skills under guidance of his mentor Mr. Yuan Xianzhi. Later he set on his artistic path “Gongbi ( fine brushwork )” figures under the influence of famous painter Mr. Chen Baiyi. His works are fresh and lively, bold and impressive. In the meantime, he also does caricatures. Up till now, 15 sets of his caricature creations have been published and exhibited.

His painting “ Night” was shown at the 6th National Art Exhibition and is now in the permanent collection of China National Museum of Fine Arts.
