Du Yingqiang
male, born in 1939, is a native of Cheng Hai county, Guangdong province. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, member of the Chinese Block Print Artists Association, executive director of the Guangdong Artists Association, president of Shantou Painting Academy. He is rated as a national first-class artist.
Du specializes is block print, Chinese painting and sketching. Besides being simple, pure and lucid, his style of painting is in poetic and pastoral quality. Many of his works have been shown in national and overseas exhibitions, and have awarded Bronze medals at the 6th and 9th Chinese National Art Exhibitions and he, himself was awarded an Outstanding Block Printing from the Luxun Print Prize.
Du has devoted himself to Chinese landscape paintings. He has held solo exhibition in Hong Kong, Macau, Taipei, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sydney, and Beijing. The Chinese National Art Gallery and overseas collectors have collected some of his prints and Chinese paintings.
