Evolution of the Art of Horse----To Welcome Olympic Equestrian Events 2008 in Hong Kong

 

在万众期待的2008中国奥运会和奥运香港马术赛大日子即将来临之际，为了迎接这一国际盛事，我们特举办《数千秋神骏 还看香江》的大型展览活动和香港市民共同分享中外马术运动的历史和古今艺术家关于马的艺术创作。

    是次展览以马术的历史和马的艺术为主题，展出一众本港收藏家罕见的关于马的收藏品达二百多件，内容丰富，多采多姿；是本港收藏界和艺术机构一个难能可贵的聚会及艺术交流活动，亦显示了香港民间表达其支持奥运香港马术比赛的团结力量和精神。

 

 

    以上丰富而精彩的艺术作品，将让观众了解古今中外艺术家心目中马的形象和马文化的内涵，并获得一个难得的美好的艺术享受。另外，展览邀得重要收藏家和有关团体参与及支持，机会难得，意义重大。

 

本次活动之开幕礼，更特邀请歌唱家潘世华先生及国际(香港)舞蹈学会的麦家乐、丁晔

老师和同学参与表演；出席开幕典礼的朋友，将可获赠精美艺术礼品，送完即止。

 

 

To support and welcome the Beijing Olympics and Olympic Equestrian Events 2008 in Hong

Kong, we are proud to present the grand art exhibition Evolution of the Art of Horse in order to share

our joy and passion in appreciating the History of Equestrianism and the Art of Horses.

The exhibition, with the theme ‘Horses in Art and Equestrianism’, will showcase two hundred

fine pieces of rare, precious artworks collected by a group of local collectors and antiquers who

possess a zeal for horses. It is not only a time for us to share their joy, knowledge and passion in Art

and Horses, but also a chance for us to express our support and spirit of unity for the big event.

The exhibition is divided into four parts:

1. Over a hundred pieces of original copperplate of Equestrianism printed during Industrial

  revolution period in the 19th century in Europe

2. Han and Tang bricks and rubbings of stone carvings with horse scenes

3. Ink and oil horse painting by ten renowned Chinese artists

4. Woodcarving and sculptures of horses of superb workmanship from the Ching Dynasty

  The wonderful exhibits will let you understand the perceptions and cultures of horses in different

places at different times of history. With generous support from a wide diversity of organizations,

individuals and art collectors, we hope to bring you a joyful and meaningful artistic experience.

We are honored to have invited the famous vocalist Mr. Pan Se Hua and International (H.K.) Dance Association for the singing and dancing performance

during the opening ceremony. All attendees will be offered a commenmorative gift. The offers are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.
