Escalator, cell phone, walking pace of pedestrians, traffic flow, fashion trends, trendy hairstyles and handbags etc. composed the symphony of a cosmopolitan city.

After the financial crisis, most of the assets evaporated, the whole city filled with gloom and panic. A cloudy evening,
there is heavy rain suddenly when driving through Hong Kong Queen’s Road Central. Looking out from the car window, the city seems being shattered.
Turning to the green light, eyes are flared, the flashing car lights just like a spark which leading me to the hope again. At this moment, the rain is not like the tears of city anymore, it becomes an energetic locus. Feeling excited with the flashing yellow light. At the same time, the rain stopped, city becomes fresher and pettier. Oh, that’s spring rain, which inspired me to create the oil painting of “In the rain”.
Life is full of philosophy: given a half glass of water, pessimists worry about running out of water quickly; optimists see it with confidence and hope.
